            A caring congregation, we are on a new stage of our journey together. 

            We would love to have you be part of the adventure.

            We hope you will enjoy exploring our website and will come to visit in person.

            We are an American Baptist and United Church of Christ congregation with a history of community activism.

Coming up...

 

            

Sunday, June 9: Capital Pride and Festival starting @ 12 pm, Washington Park in Albany. Emmanuel Friedens invites you to be a part of the largest Pride celebration in upstate New York!  The parade steps off at 11:50 am rain or shine.

 

            

Emmanuel Friedens will be walking in the parade as a group. If you would like to walk with us, please arrive in the park at the check –in point by 11 am. Look for the church group near the step-off point (near the corner of  State Street and Henry Johnson Blvd.- look for the Soldiers and Sailors Monument). After the parade, take time to check out all the ongoing activities throughout the park especially EFC’s table.

Sunday, June 16: Our Pride service and recognition of our Dignity for All Award Scholarship recipients

 

            

Sunday, June 23, Children/Youth Sunday: Children and youth lead special service including an Agape Meal and Communion

 

            

Saturday, June 29, 2019: Free Communiy Brunch hosted by Emmanuel Friedens Church from 10:30-11:30 am. The clothing closet is open to attendees during the brunch. 

 

            

 

            

The church's nursery cares for babies and the youngest children during worship.

            There are classes for children of all ages following worship, from 11:20 - 12:15

            Youth Group (grades 7-12) will meet following worship in Room 115.

            Our church building is accessible to those with disabilities.
